Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we don't, and how to control your data. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to deliver the product, and we never sell anything.

1. What we collect

  • Anonymous browsing. Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for security and uptime. Retained 30 days max.
  • Account data.When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your email, name, and Google ID. That's it.
  • Subscription data. If you upgrade to Pro, Stripe handles billing — we receive only the subscription status and customer ID, never your card.
  • Watchlist + preferences. Teams you follow, alert preferences, saved filters. Stored against your account.

2. What we don't collect

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • No session replay or heatmap tools.
  • No selling of any user data to anyone, ever.

3. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. If we ever add analytics, it will be privacy-preserving (Plausible / similar).

4. Your rights

You can request a copy or deletion of your account data anytime via privacy@mapread.gg. EU and California residents have specific rights under GDPR / CCPA; we honor them globally.

5. Third parties we share with

  • Google — for OAuth sign-in only.
  • Stripe — for paid subscription billing only.
  • Vercel — hosts the website. Standard request logs.

6. Children

Mapread is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
